Florence (“Flo”) May Richio , 85, previously of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 5, 2022 at West Florida Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Florence was a resident of Pensacola, Florida for the past 18 months where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Ana and Bryce, and her great-granddaughter, Isla Capri (her “GiGi”). It is our honor to serve military veterans and their families who have spent their lives in service to our country. She began her career as a bank teller and was promoted to management in a short amount of time but found her niche in mortgage lending where she spent over 30 years helping people finance their dream homes. Barbara was a kind, loving, and generous woman who was very proud of her Cherokee heritage, loved horseback riding, traveling the country by motorcycle with Fred, sailing Lake Erie, and was a wonderful artist. She taught her children kindness, loyalty, charity, and most of all the importance of family, and doted on her granddaughters every chance she got. She was also involved with The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter Electa #61 and the National Council of Negro Women. Gracie loved her family, becoming a founding member of the Brundidge Family Reunion and assisting with the future meetings. Although Hannah was homeschooled, she went to the Autism Center at Lakeview five days a week, where she blossomed from a little girl into preadolescence. In the last few months of her life, she participated in a Sunday ministry run by Pensacola Christian College students at a local park. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ione Wells, his brother-in-law, Lyle, as well as several dear friends.

Malcolm and his wife, Myrtle, lived in the house only a few years before deciding, at the urging of a nephew who was a licensed funeral director in Georgia, to build a funeral home on the property.
He was creative in his techniques, designing prototypes for pelicans with frozen feet and bills. After graduating from Murphy High School, he enlisted in th US Army and served 18 months in Korea. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Auburn University, and following several years of ranch life in Fairhope, Al., he returned to Auburn to earn his Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine. He opened Airport Animal Hospital in Pensacola and built a successful practice sharing his love and devotion to animals.
